Synchiropus picturatus
The Spotted Mandarinfish, Synchiropus picturatus, is a carnivore! Like all dragonettes, they mostly eat live pods. Most people have no luck getting them to eat prepared foods.
As of 3.3.07 I've had mine in the tank for 15 months now, two of which she was lost in the overflow (right after I got her). Now that I don't have any wrasses in the tank she'll probably find more to eat, although she has never appeared thin except right when I got her. Reef safe, but not for the beginner.
