Istiblennius chrysospilos
The
Orange Spot Blenny, Istiblennius chrysospilos ,
is herbivorous. This fish is the clown of my tank. It spends
all day pecking micro-algae from the rocks or peeping out of a hole.
So far he doesn't seem real interested in fish food, but he looks like he
is getting enough to eat. My dottyback likes to harass him a little.
But so far nothing serious. Reef
safe. Update: After about
2 months in the tank, he now eats fish food offered with gusto! He later disappeared.
