Dendrobates imitator
On November 29, 2006 I received a package of D. imitator from Brian Sexton. I placed them into a temporary enclosure with a small cocohut and some moss, oak leaves and a pothos cutting. I seeded the enclosure with springtails a couple of days before and I added a few D. melanogaster fruitflies once the frogs arrived. The photos below seem to be different frogs. Once I have had them a while I might be able to tell differences in their pattern enough to tell them apart. Right now, they are too small to be sure. Note, the fourth frog hid pretty fast under an oak leaf, so I couldn't get a good shot of it.

A box!

Serious insulation. It had another piece on top obviously.

I see four!

Surrounding the Gladware containing the frogs were four gelpacks. Under the bottom gelpack is a section of eggcrate, with a heatpack underneath.

Gladware. Each containing one perfect frog and some damp LFS.

Here is a close up! (number 1)

How cute are these? (number 2)

One more for good measure! (number 3)

I think that this is the fourth one. (number 4)

My "workspace".
